As requested by NYS Governor Andrew Cuomo, the APF gathered supplies for hospital health care professionals to help protect against the spread of the coronavirus. On Tuesday, March 24, clinic staff stacked up boxes of surgical gloves, masks, hair coverings, saline solution, and syringes to donate to nearby Ellis Hospital in Schenectady.

According to Deb Balliet, Executive Director of APF, “This is our community – we work, live and play here – and we felt it was important to be a partner in any way we could. Currently, the APF has a temporary hold on spay and neuter surgeries, so we were able to donate these medical supplies to the hospital.” Ellis Hospital was very grateful to receive the needed supplies, and we’re glad we were able to help.
