August is shaping up to be an exciting month at the Animal Protective Foundation, and we can't wait to share it with you! From celebrating a major milestone to helping more pets find loving homes, there are so many opportunities to get involved and support our mission.

This month, we're especially excited to celebrate 95 years of service to our community. On August 27, APF will mark 95 years of providing compassionate care, finding loving homes for animals, and strengthening the bond between people and pets. This milestone wouldn't be possible without the dedication of our staff, volunteers, donors, adopters, and supporters who have stood beside us throughout the years. Thank you for being part of our story.

We're also proud to once again participate in NBCUniversal's Clear the Shelters, taking place August 11–14. This nationwide adoption campaign shines a spotlight on shelter pets waiting for their forever families. If you've been thinking about welcoming a new companion into your home, there's no better time to visit APF and meet the wonderful animals waiting for their second chance.

And while we're celebrating August, we're already looking ahead to one of our biggest events of the year—our Fur Ball Gala on Saturday, October 3, 2026. This unforgettable evening brings together animal lovers from across our community to support the lifesaving work of APF. Over the coming weeks, we'll be sharing event updates, auction previews, and ways you can be part of this special night.
