Meet Dr. Sara Sosnow, Veterinary Medical Director at the Animal Protective Foundation. Dr. Sosnow has been with the APF for 1.5 years and we are so thankful to have her on our team!
Tell us what you do here at the APF: I am the veterinarian for the shelter animals, perform surgery in our spay-neuter clinic once a week, and lead our community veterinary programs.
What do you enjoy most about working at the APF? I enjoy working for an organization that is always finding new ways to care for the pets and families in our community.
Tell us about something you accomplished here at the APF that you are particularly proud of: I am proud that I was able to perform emergency surgery on a Chihuahua who had just given birth and was experiencing a fatal prolapse. Mom and all babies survived!
Do you have any pets at home? I have 5 shelter dogs: Zoey, Koda, Wicket, and Buster (Chihuahuas) and Mama (a three-legged Beagle), and a grumpy cat named Beecher.
What do you like to do in your free time? My favorite thing is to cuddle with all of my animals while watching TV, but I also like going to concerts and drag shows with friends, doing kickboxing, and swimming.
Stay tuned for more APF Staff Spotlights!
