The Animal Protective Foundation would like to thank everyone who has participated in the past Fireplug 500 Walk for Animals. We are truly grateful for our corporate sponsors, walkers, vendors, and volunteers that made the day so special.

The APF has, after much consideration and discussion, decided that we will not be hosting the Fireplug 500 this September. With numerous 5K’s, walks, fairs and fundraising festivals all vying for the same audience on prime fall weekends, attendance and net proceeds have been declining steadily over the past few years.

We are truly appreciative of the abundance of community support we receive and are looking forward to new and exciting events that provides a strong measure of funding for the animals in our care. We invite you to continue to keep the APF in your fundraising efforts and consider one of these options:

1. Make a donation to our general unrestricted fund, which helps the thousands of homeless animals that come through our shelter and spay and neuter clinic doors each year. Please continue your support for the homeless animals in our care by make a donation, mail it to the address above, or call 518-374-3944, Ext 113.

2. Conduct a fundraising event of your own to benefit the animals in our care. Here are some ideas and some information on third party events to benefit the animals in the care of the APF.

We remain grateful for your loyal and generous support and look forward to benefiting from your continued loving assistance for the animals in our care.
