In addition to the direct animal care we deliver, an important part of our work is to provide educational opportunities for our community. We offer programming for people of all ages on various animal related topics, as well tours and speaking engagements for those who would like to learn more about us or get involved.
Educational Programs
We offer topics of interest to pet owners and others who care about animals, such as Pet First Aid, Reporting Animal Cruelty, and How to Groom at Home. Visit our Events page for information on upcoming programs.
Speakers
We are always happy to provide presentations for civic groups, clubs and others who would like to learn more about our work on behalf of animals.
Tours & Presentations
We invite people of all ages to visit the shelter and learn about all we do for our community's homeless pets. We think you will be pleasantly surprised by the clean, comfortable accommodations for our residents, as well as the high-quality care we provide.
Tours and programs are offered by appointment Tuesday through Friday between noon and 4:30 pm and are tailored to the age of the participants. A tour can also be combined with an age-appropriate educational activity in our Humane Education Center. Please schedule at least two weeks in advance. Visit our Kids' Programs page to learn more.
Ways to Get Involved
Visit our Volunteer page for ways that your civic or student group can help the shelter through a service project.
