We rely greatly on the generosity of caring donors. Your cash gift will provide safe haven, comfort and veterinary care for our pets. The APF is an independent, 501(c)(3) nonprofit humane society and receives no government funding or financial support from national humane organizations. Here are some of the many ways we’ll put your donation to work for the animals.

		Your gift provides FeLV/FIV testing for two cats or heartworm/Lyme/ ehrlichia testing for two dogs.
		Provides flea treatment and deworming for a litter of kittens, freeing them of dangerous and irritating parasites.
		Spay/neuter is our most powerful tool for addressing pet overpopulation. $100 spays or neuters one dog or cat.
		Cats sometimes get respiratory infections when they are stressed. Your donation will provide treatment for two cats with upper respiratory infections.
		This gift provides food for all of our shelter dogs and cats for one month through the Hills Science Diet feeding program.
		Your donation provides safe haven and veterinary care for the pet of a domestic violence victim in our Pet Guardian program for two weeks.
		This gift buys one set of surgical instruments needed to perform spay and neuter surgeries.
		The average cost of care we spend on every pet is $200 and includes spay/neuter, vaccinations and other treatments as needed. This gift will prepare five pets for adoption.
		This amount funds a new anesthesia machine for our Community Spay/Neuter Program, which provides 3,000 low-cost surgeries annually.
