Be Kind to Animals Poster & Essay Contest

2012 Theme: "Don't be a Bully! It's Cool to be Kind to Animals"
For 10 years, the APF has celebrated National Be Kind to Animals Week (May 6-12) by inviting children in grades 1-5 to participate by writing an essay or designing a poster.
Why did we pick this theme? There are far to many instances of people being mean to each other and to animals and thinking bullying is ok. The APF sees instances of cruelty and abuse each and every day. We need to get the message to all, children and adults alike, that it is not ok to be a bully to either people or to animals.
Winners, their families, teachers and principals will be invited to a very special Awards Reception at Proctors Theatre in Schenectady on Monday, May 7th to receive prizes.
Deadline to enter: April 13, 2012
Please mail or deliver to: APF, 53 Maple Ave., Scotia, NY 12302 Attn: Kim
